The PMD Hatch on the Beaverhead is Underway

Every day that passes has the fish on the Beaverhead locking in a little more on the river’s most important hatch of the summer.  There also some very nice fish eating dries up and down the river.  When the water has some turbidity, PMD patterns with a little bling are most productive.

Beaverhead River – The PMD hatch is the central focus of both the fish and anglers right now, but a few goldens and some yellow sallies are in the mix.

Big Hole River – The diversity of fishing up and down the river is incredible.  There are PMDs up and down the river with some nocturn stones showing up on the lower end.  Throw in some green drakes and a few yellow sallies as well as some caddis and an abundance of opportunity awaits on the Big Hole. Show up on a cloudy and the dry fly fishing is very good.
